Volunteers make our chess community go ‘round!

We rely on local volunteers to support our all-levels club meetings, after-school programs, and tournaments. We need you! Here are our basic requirements and guidelines for volunteers:

• Ages 13+

• 18+ adults (who are not family members in attendance) must present proof of a clean background check prior to volunteering

• Teenage volunteers must exhibit maturity, helpfulness, and relative independence when performing tasks

• We highly encourage our volunteers to commit (e.g. come to most of our Sunday club meetings or most sessions of an after-school program…not just one meeting or session)

• We highly encourage prior chess knowledge or experience, but this is not required; you’ll learn a lot by helping us out!

• Proficiency in Spanish, Chinese, or Korean greatly appreciated
