Volunteers make our chess community go ‘round!

We rely on local volunteers to support our Prodigy-in-Training Meets, Hoosier Chess Circuit Matches, and after-school programs. We need you! Here are our basic requirements and guidelines for volunteers:

• Ages 13+

• 18+ adults (who are not family members in attendance) must present proof of a clean background check prior to volunteering

• Teenage volunteers must exhibit maturity, helpfulness, and relative independence when performing tasks

• All volunteers must commit to coming to most sessions of whichever activity they signed up for (not just one and then done!)

• We highly encourage prior chess knowledge or experience, but this is not required; you’ll learn a lot by helping us out!

• Proficiency in Spanish, Chinese, or Korean greatly appreciated
